We Didn't Expect It To Be That Easy!

From my years of experience in financing homes and training new loan officers and realtors, I know exactly how to help you choose the right program quickly and easily, and get your loan closed on time!

Throughout my 23 year career in mortgage lending, I have held various positions as loan officer, production manager, owner, underwriter, real estate broker and instructor. I hold a bachelor's degree in management from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I love to teach, and have trained over 8400 loan officers, processors, closers, and real estate agents. I have also supervised the production of over 21,000 loans from coast to coast.

Most of my customers want to be pre-approved before they waste money for appraisals, inspections, etc. As an approved underwriter, I can approve your loan in less than 1 hour. Our bank has perfected the long distance mortgage loan process for your convenience, and everything can be done by phone, fax and email in the privacy of your home. In addition, my team's experience in handling purchase transactions is unique, unlike most internet lenders that only know how to do refinance loans.

During 2002, I served as the President for the Mortgage Banker's Association of Kansas City. In this elected position, I assisted the Kansas Banking Commissioner in developing and teaching 14 continuing education courses for mortgage brokers to meet the new licensing requirements. I have been an approved instructor for the Kansas and Missouri Real Estate Commissions since 1997, teaching monthly post license courses to new realtors.

During my tenure with the MBA, I handled many consumer complaints relating to the unethical and predatory lending practices in the mortgage industry. Reported violations included lenders that were grossly overcharging their customers for rates and closing costs; others were "baiting and switching" their customers with rates and costs that were much higher at closing than they had been told upfront. My absolute passion is to make sure that you are not taken advantage of by a predatory lender, and to make sure you get the best possible rates and closing costs with no hidden fees. I am friendly and easy to talk to, and I will always tell you the truth, even if it is not what you want to hear! :-)

On a personal note, my husband and I have 5 kiddos, ages 26, 24, 22, 18 and 9, who keep us very busy! My husband, Shane, runs our family business and keeps us entertained with his guitar playing and singing. We spend lots of family time at Stockton lake, where we sail our 32 foot sailboat, the Tail Twister (Go Mizzou Tigers!). We also love to snow ski and visit the ocean, and have chartered a few sail boats in the islands. We have two cats, Emma and Schmitz, who love to cuddle with us. My daughter and I cook gourmet, Italian and Mexican food for our friends and family. Oh, and in our spare time, (ha!) we love to buy and remodel homes, and are constantly remodeling or upgrading our home.
